Bio

I am a results-focused and collaborative person with an enthusiasm for building professional relationships and providing world-class service to clients and stakeholders. Working with people to solve problems is a passion of mine. I have been blessed with a rich and varied professional life, and it has given me insights and experiences unique to the business brokering profession that help me to work well with entrepreneurs and business owners.



I’ve been a resident of Western Michigan for over 25 years and married to my wife, Amy, for 20+ years. We have four outstanding children, and it can make things crazy at times, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I’m an avid lifelong learner and seek out opportunities to increase my knowledge about anything whenever possible. I like to spend my time away from work at my kids’ events, preparing barbecue on my commercial smoker “Frank”, or tinkering with something at home or our cottage.

  • Coordinate and facilitate relationships with business acquisition professionals
  • Prescreen available businesses for overall merit
  • Identify opportunities for acquisitions
  • Contact owners and/or representatives of businesses
  • Provide an evaluation of Client’s financials
  • Advise Client regarding real estate matters
  • Perform preliminary due diligence on potential transactions
  • Coordinate and contribute content to business documents
  • Fulfill fiduciary duties of obedience, loyalty, disclosure, confidentiality, and reasonable care
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other professional advisors for Client (including attorneys, CPAs, CFPs)

My job is to act as a liaison between sellers and buyers by facilitating the sale process and providing support to ensure the sale gets finalized. For sellers, I assess the business by conducting a valuation, help determine its value, and create a comprehensive marketing plan to find the right buyer. After identifying a potential buyer, I coordinate negotiations and coordinate the transaction. For buyers, I help find suitable businesses to acquire, perform inquiries, conduct due diligence, negotiate terms, and finalize the transaction. My goal is to streamline the sale process, provide expertise and guidance, and support the goals of both parties while fulfilling my obligation to serve my client’s interests fully.
